About Us
Southern Soirées & More was just a vision until the owners, Kenny & Natalie Acord turned it into a reality on April 30th, 2019. Born and raised in Vermilion Parish, they have been married 26 years and have three beautiful children together. Their oldest daughter Skyler, son Trevor, and youngest daughter Aaliyah have all played an important role in bringing this vision to life along with Kenny's mother Marlene, & Skyler's husband Alex. We currently have 3 grandchildren, Gracelynn, Adalyn, & Zhyler with a new grandson on the way. We are expecting Declan's arrival in early January of 2024.
We wanted to set ourselves apart from other venues by offering not only an indoor venue with an outside ceremony option but also a bridal suite and dressing rooms for the bridesmaids and our extremely popular groom's quarters (AKA Man Cave) and children's playroom. This has become so much more than a business to us. Our goal was to bring something different to Vermilion Parish and after almost 5 years in business we have no boundary lines with bookings from all over the state thanks to our referral's and returning clients. We have built lifelong relationships along the way, and we are blessed beyond measure for what God has accomplished here. We hear our clients loud and clear and we will continue to grow, add-on, and upgrade to suit our clients needs and desires.
